Using a Dell E1405 Core Duo w/Intel945 Integrated Graphics, For the longest time when I would use the 10.4.6 Installer graphics worked fine after install, didnt have to add or install anything special, had correct resolution (1280x800) and QE/CI both working. The install sat gathering dust for a while and then recently I decided to throw 10.4.8 on there, and using JaS's latest 10.4.8 disk installed it with nothing extra added, and my display came up as unknown and at 1024x768 (stretched). assuming they were similar I popped the installed disk back in and told it to add the Intel950 driver. upon rebooting my resolution was fixed, but It says I have no QE/CI. I'd look into just grabbing the display driver from my old jas 10.4.6 disc but cant find it, anyone have any ideas on what I might need to do to get QE/CI going again? also, whenever it boots now I get an error "System extension cannot be used, system extension /system/library/extensions/appleintel915.kext was installed improperly and cannot be used", any ideas on how to clear that from coming up every time I boot would be appreciated as well.
