matjans Posted April 2, 2007 Share Posted April 2, 2007 He guys & gals, After updating to 10.4.9 qe & ci is broken on my inspiron 6000 with an ati x300 mobile (devid 5460). I've been hacking away at the 10.4.9 Radeon9700 kexts but, alas, to no avail. Has anyone been able to enable qe & ci ? I've tried both Koverg's patch (no luck), manually editing the Info.plist & the binary file (no luck) and the original unpatched (no luck). ati x300 mobile devid 5460 broadcom 4320 based card (working!) semthex 8.8.1 kernel 10.4.9 update with some old kexts & other stuff to get it working on the 6000 Anyway, if anyone knows anything... keep me posted. Download, apply koverg patch (or do it manually) and reboot. Perfect. The patched ATIRadeon9700.kext is necessary for all radeon based cards. If you dont have QE/CI by default, apply "koverg patch", and setup "callisto" properly.
