nerfjames
Try MacFUSE. It allows you to read/write to NTFS partitions. (which is why you can't change the icon/name) i am using it successfully, but I can no longer see my NTFS partition in the "Startup Disk" prefence panel. I can still see it on the desktop, and hold down "Option" to see it when i boot, but its not in the System Preferences/Startup Disk. Its worth it to me.
