SA22C Posted April 2, 2007 Share Posted April 2, 2007 Your best bet is to download a full version of 10.4.8. I've had the best luck with the JaS 10.4.8 AMD Intel SSE2 SSE3 .iso. Updates can be problematic and a clean install makes things much easier to troubleshoot if problems arise. VIRTUAL X Posted April 8, 2007 Share Posted April 8, 2007 I have the 10.4.8 version and I can get to the point where the installs completes nicely. However! When I do the apple update, the computer works fine but when I choose every updpate EXCEPT the apple SYSTEM update. When I try updating that update, the computer reboots in a constant loop. What does the apple system update do? Does it do a scan and corrupts the download if it finds the computer is anything other than an "Apple" computer? What's this I hear about a 10.4.9 version or patch?
