Mactastic
My Intuos 3 tablet worked perfectly with 10.4.7, but 10.4.8 doesn't recognize it at all. It works fine with my MBP but not my Hackintosh, so I know its not an Apple problem but rather something with the Hackintosh version of 10.4.8. Is there anyone out there that has been able to get a Wacom tablet to work with 10.4.8? Mactastic
Okay, I found a solution that might work for those of you other Wacom users out there. I found that I could get the tablet to work if I ran it through an external USB hub. Oddly enough it doesn't work on all the USB ports, but who cares? Finally it works! Ferret-Simpson
I use Serial (And integrated ^^) But there shouldn't be a problem. . . Using the latest 6.x driver? Yup, using the latest 6.0.0-3 driver, but I also tried pretty much every other driver before and nothing worked until I ran it through this cheap little 4 port USB hub. I know that technically it shouldn't make any difference to run it through the hub, but at this point I don't care. I'm just so happy that its working! launchcontrol
Just tried using my Intuos3 (6x8). Before installing any drivers from Wacom, the device was recognized after plugging it into the usb port - using the pen moved the cursor. After installing the latest version from Wacom (v6.00-3) it works perfect. Hope you got it to work by now. Running 10.4.8 (kernel: v8.8.1 dated 12/9/07) on my P4 SSE2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46891-wacom-1048/#findComment-336730 Share on other sites
launchcontrol
I'm running 10.4.9 now and lately using my intuos would simply stop working. Anyone else experiencing this? Going into the preference panel says nothing is connected and only a restart gets it working again. Strange. Mactastic
Mine works fine since I switched to a BadAxe2 motherboard. I'm on 10.4.9 right now with no problems. Good luck getting your fixed again! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46891-wacom-1048/#findComment-407482 Share on other sites
Threepwood
My Intuos3 is detected on the USB bus according to System Profiler but I have to replug it to be able to move the cursor. Still I can't get the damn thing to work, the preference pane says that no tablet was found. It works perfectly in XP.
