Mike D
So I tried to install the following version release of OSX86 JaS.Mac.OS.X.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3.PPF.1. I had installed this OS previously on an old P4 after a little research no problems happened This was also back in 10.4.3 days The problem I am running into now is that My new Machine is a piece of junk / not. I did research on parts and comparisson of price and I found the best deal was to buy premade and upgrade. Wrong Choice so I bought a m7650n With the following specs. CPU: Intel® Core™2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86Ghz ( 2 CPUs ) 1066 FSB Chipset: G965 RAM: 2048 GB @ PC5300 DDR2 BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG DVD: DVD R-RW +/- hp lightscribe ( SATA ) HDD: 300GB WD ( SATA ) GFX: Nvidia GeForce 7300 GS - This Was Upgraded of course ha ha MOBO: Asus P5BW-LA ( FULL SATA no IDE to test ) I get a IOUSBMassStorageClass kernal error then following that comes the infamous line so I have read. "Still waiting for root device" Please any thoughts let me know. I thought that this version of OSX86 was pre patched with SATA support. I am a web developer and PC comp tech but have stopped following the project for quite some time now. Please help. Thanks Again, -Mike D Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46881-full-sata-machine-1048-patched-irch7/ Share on other sites
