TeraHz
Hello all, My os x is detecting the memory as 2x 1GB instead of 2x512MB ( as per System Profiler ). Menumeters detects currectly 1GB of total memory, but almost any other program thinks I have 2GB of memory. I'm sure this is not very good when the system tries to access address above 1024MB... Any ideas how to fix that? uname -a Darwin Geodar 8.4.1 Darwin Kernel Version 8.4.1: Tue Jan 3 18:23:53 PST 2006; root:xnu-792.7.90.obj~1/RELEASE_I386 i386 i386 A0/Bank0/1: Size: 1 GB Type: RAM Speed: Unknown Status: OK A1/Bank2/3: Size: 1 GB Type: RAM Speed: Unknown Status: OK Machine Name: Apple Development Platform Machine Model: ADP2,1 CPU Type: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+ Number Of CPUs: 1 CPU Speed: 3 GHz L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB CPU Features: FPU VME DE PSE TSC MSR PAE MCE CX8 APIC SEP MTRR PGE MCA CMOV PAT PSE36 CLFSH MMX FXSR SSE SSE2 EST Memory: 2 GB Bus Speed: 233 MHz Boot ROM Version: 6.00 PG (Phoenix Technologies, LTD) Complete system specs found here: http://joro.geodar.com/geodaren.shtml Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46816-ram-detected-twice-the-real-size-amd64-1046-help/ Share on other sites
