When I try to print to my HP 810c printer, the bottom half of each line of text are chopped off. It looks like the text are unusually taller than normally would print in Windows XP.

When I tried to print a test page via the HP driver in OS X, the print out looks fine. I tried printing from Pages, TextEdit and even Office 2000 through CrossOver Mac. All resulted in the chopped off text.

Any ideas?

Same problem with an HP842c

maybe a rosetta issue?

Problem solved. I downloaded the latest HP driver. It looked like the same version built into OS X. After the installation of driver, my HP 810c was not in printer list. I added the printer again, this time selecting GIMP driver. This is the driver you need to make the printing look correctly.
