Zarathu
I installed it and everything went fine. Specs: Mobo: ASUS A8N-SLI CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Video card: nVidia 7900GT Hard drives: 30 GB IDE, 80 GB SATA, 400 GB SATA Currently, Winblows and *nix are occupying the IDE drive entirely. I created a 10 GB partition for Mac OS X on the 400 GB SATA and installed it there. Getting a prohibitory sign whenever it boots. The spinny thing underneath it keeps going, though. Help? WaldMeister
On boot, just before the Apple boot screen apears, repeatly press F8, now you should have the option to choose a operating system/give up boot options. Type: -v and press enter. You'll see a lot of text comming by, wait untill it halts, take a photo, and post it here. AppleIIGuy
You need the proper SATA drivers installed. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46699-prohibitory-sign/#findComment-335030 Share on other sites
Zarathu
You need the proper SATA drivers installed. How do I go about doing that? If I'm not able to boot Mac up, how do I install SATA drivers for it? Godsbane
I fixed this by booting using VMware within windows, and installing the sata drivers there, and then rebooting. ( no more prohibitory sign, however my install reboots as soon as the grey apple screen goes away ) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46699-prohibitory-sign/#findComment-335235 Share on other sites
Zarathu
Screw it. I decided to install it on the IDE with the other two operating systems. Everything is going great, except my PS/2 keyboard isn't working. Anything I can do about that?
