MSBeckman
Ok I switched to macs about a year ago, since I have come to love OS X. I have know this type of OSx86 stuff has been possible for some time, and yesterday I decided to give it a go. I found this article: http://osx86.theplaceforitall.com/howto/ to help me get it going. I downloaded tiger-x86.tar.bz2 and I am unarchiving it as we speak. I am just wondering if I should be able to get it running on a pentium 3 processor. I have that in a old computer, but I also have a AMD 2600+? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/4662-older-computer-running-osx/ Share on other sites
Hagar
no, put simply... if in doubt use cpuz from www.cpuid.com. you need a processor that supports sse2 minimum. sse3, nx, & pae ideally.
