OSXtasy
Does anyone that owns a MacPro have an issue, where sometimes when you attempt to boot into Windows (of course holding the Option key at the "chime" and selecting your Windows partition) that it starts to, or acts like its going to boot into windows and just hangs at a grey screen, then just shows a folder with the question mark, as if it does'nt see the windows partition??? I then have to power off, because there is no reset button (I hate killing the machine like this!!!!), and upon a cold restart, most of the time it will go ahead and boot into windows on the second attempt. What is causing this??? It ALWAYS boots into windows (when I choose the windows partition by holding option key at chime) the FIRST time on my MBP, but sometimes hangs like this on my MacPro. Anyone else seeing this????? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46606-sometimes-bootcamp-wont-load-windows/ Share on other sites

OSXtasy
Well I think I solved it (as if anyone cares...LOL) I installed rEFIt, and I thought the problem was solved, but no dice. I then got bored and decided to reset the PRAM...... Looks good so far (after about 12 reboots into both Vista and OSX 10.4.9). For anyone interested, I'm currently using bootcamp 1.1.2 . I'm a little afraid to mess with the *new* 1.2 version now that I have this solved, but i'm sure I will eventually. Well thanks for all those that offered help.........LOL Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46606-sometimes-bootcamp-wont-load-windows/#findComment-335890 Share on other sites
