iverasp
Hi. My OSX installation (10.4.1) worked out of the box, except for audio, network and higher resolutions. With the new unofficial ATI driver I got the resolution up to 1280x1024, and with a Realtek networkcard I got that functioning too. Now its only audio left. My mainboard is a Asus A8N with the Nforce4 chipset. The sound is supposed to work if you edit the AppleAC97Audio.kext, but mine never does. I even downloaded the .kext file from a thread on this forum, but it didnt work either. Im not sure what the ID is, since it only says NFORCE_VAD under Device ID, and 100 under Product ID in dxdiag. I do believe I checked this in linux once, and that the ID where the same as the one in the wikipedia guide. The card works in Windows. Btw, I also have a SB Audigy 2 installed, if anyone knows how to get it working? wesley
Find the ID under Device Manager, not dxdiag. the device ID and vendor ID are in 4-digit hexadecimal code. Should be easy to identify. Then add the whole ID string into the right format as mentioned in the wiki.
