Hi,

I totally in need for some help….

I have a new PC with MSI P965 neo motherboard, and this is my first time trying to install a MAC.

For some long days I kept trying to install some MAC images, and I always gut to the same point:

After the installation was done, the MAC boot gets to the lines:

From path: "uuid"

Waiting for boot volume with UUID ……….

Waiting on <dict ID=0><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1"><IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict>

And there it gets stuck. With out writing any error massage.

Yesterday I upgraded my bios to V1.10, and changed the bios setting "HDD S.M.A.R.T Function" to enable, and then I tried to boot to the mac, which was already installed (uphuck 1.4i r2), and it worked!! Every thing just worked great! :D

Believing that I solved this "Waiting for boot volume with UUID" problem, I tried to install the r3 image, but I got that waiting line again!

I reinstalled the r2 image but now I'm stuck again with this {censored} "waiting for … uuid" line. And I can't find any way to solve it.

My hardware is: MSI P965 neo (bios V=1.10), E6400 processor, SATAII HD, IDE DVD, 7600GS display card.

The installation process was:

- HD partitions are first primary partition for XP, second primary for MAC, extended for XP data.

- Did a dual boot according to http://www.anyizhu.com/mediawiki/index.php...tallationGuides)

- Plugged the SATA HD in motherboard SATA4 plug so it is controlled by the intel ICH8 driver, this make it much simpler to set the HD as IDE in VMware.

- Used VMware V6 with daemon tools to over come the disability of JMicron to boot the MAC DVD.

- Used uphuck v1.4i_r2 for the installation.

What am I doing wrong?

Bob
