success2be
I think after a couple of days of fooling around with Callisto, ATIScript, Katana, etc, I'm giving up on trying to get Quartz Extreme and Core Image working on my ATI X300 laptop. Now, I'm turning to my desktop. I don't want the same headache with the above drivers. I want QE and CI working after a clean install of JaS 10.4.8; no Titan or other 3rd party drivers. The HCL wiki were listing many of these cards using these drivers. So will the cards I'm considering below work? I'm considering: ATI X1600Pro ATI X1600XT ATI X1900XT Nvidia GeForce 7300GT Nvidia GeForce 7600GT Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46321-supported-out-of-the-box-video-cards/ Share on other sites
Proteo
I have an eVGA GeForce 7300 GS, it worked with all the bells and whistles by simply dropping Natit.kext into the Extensions folder and repairing permissions. I know for sure that almost any GeForce 7300 will work with minimum hassle, but straight out-of-the-box... I dunno. Even the standard GMA950 needs a couple of tricks to be fully supported in the most recent builds. success2be
Thanks for the info. I'm looking at the XFX 7600GT thats listed as fully functional in the Natit wiki. Tomshardware list it as 4 times faster than my current ATI X600 Even if this setup doesn't work, I still get to up the settings on World of Warcraft on XP Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46321-supported-out-of-the-box-video-cards/#findComment-331751 Share on other sites
