I don't know, i guess you have to search the web. For me the Semthex 8.8.1 works so i don't need

to find/change the kernel.

 

Here, on insanelyMac, forums are quite a few topics on the kernel change. Maybe there are some links or clues on where to get different kernel files.

This problem happened to me as well. You need to start it up in legacy mode.

 

Press F8 while your computer starts up to bring you up to a screen of bootable partitions. Select your OSx86 partition, and type in "-v -legacy", without the quotes.

 

Legacy mode keeps everything 32bit. Made a big difference on my Core 2 Duo when installing kernel extensions.
