badlydrawn
I know that I will never be able to work my Soundblaster Live! or AC97 because it's a VIA chipset, so I was thinking about getting a new soundcard. Is there a specific kind or type of soundcard that will for sure work on 10.4.8 and up that some of you users use here? Please show me a list or something to some decent soundcards that will work with my new hackintosh! Thank you guys so much! thestevo
Safest and cheapest option is an external USB device. Stephen Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46167-best-soundcard-for-osx1048-and-up/#findComment-333402 Share on other sites
Zulu.Walker
Any USB-soundcard supported by Apple should work. Any firewire-sound device also supported by Apple should also work. Creative External USB-devices have been reported to work on OSX86, but you gotta look it up a bit for some minor issues that people are having. Good luck with yer sound.
