Remember this is a fresh instalation of Vista on a old P4 2.2 with an asrock MOBO 768 ram, thats it.

The message on the background:

"F:/windows/system32/runonce.exe"

The mesage over the first message (yes two messages at the same time):

"The NTVM CPU has encountered an ilegal instruction cs:11bd IP: 010a 0e467 ea choose Terminate or Continue"

It does this every time i boot in to my vista partition

Any idea?

I see everyone flocking to help you here ;)

The NTVDM process is a virtual machine used since NT days to run 'child processes' separately from the normal execution flow of the operating system.

Because it's a common and universal process the causes could be almost anything. However you could do worse than to search Google, with for example this phrase . There are more hits than you can shake a stick at... I'm certain that one of them will have some useful information for you :)

Thanks Metrgirl .I was starting to lose hope, ha and of course i did google that..

Anyway its my bussines pc so i can always re-install right?

Zealot

Let me get this straight...

You post for help with a brand new OS that barely anyone is using. You post it on a forum for MAC users. And then you complain that you're not getting any help?

Wow.

Anyone who is remotely interested in osx86 will have a definite taste for trying new software, so it's safe to assume a lot of users here have dabbled with Vista, including myself.

Your comment would have applied if Vertigo had posted his message in a completely unrelated forum, but seeing as this is the forum for Windows Disussion.. :(
