Hello, I'll be the first to admit that I am a serious newbie when it comes to Mac...I'm pretty good with PC but the Mac OS would be a whole new experience for me and that's why I'd love to try it. Here's my situation...

I have a older Intel MoBo & Processor that a friend gave me for installing his new system. It's a Intel Desktop Board (D845EBG2) and a P4 processor at 1.7gHz. I also have a old hard drive and a ATI Radeon 9250 256MB vid card lying around. I also have a tower that I could put this into...to make it short...I have the parts to build a system! lol

Now, I don't want to build this for PC use seeing as my current system is way better, so I was wondering if anyone knows if I'll be able to run OSx86 with this mobo/cpu. I don't have the parts installed right now...I only wanna do that if I can run this. So, what I need to know is if anyone can tell me if I'll be able to run it. I'm not sure if this board/cpu is SSE2 capable or not. Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much!!!
