Ok, first off all, sorry, can't get the panic information, I doubt though it matters. I'll make a photo of it once I get my hands on a camera >_>.

Anyway, after installing VMware fusion Beta, the computer crashed, and rebooted, and I got a kernel panic. (my first ever :o)

Anyway, I was an idiot for not copying the uninstall script of the DMG when I downloaded it, so I was hoping someone could upload that uninstall script for me, for VMware Fusion of course... (and tell me how to run it in single user mode :thumbsup_anim: )

I tried to to put something like 'sudo rm -rf /applications/VMware Fusion.app" but it gives me {censored} about iligal actions :( (I'm not to familiar with UNIX commands :( )

Thanks for reading!

Sorry, after ssearching on the forum I found the solution :censored2:

Sorry for the post, lol.. solution ->

Uninstall VMware Fusion through single user mode

Boot with -v -s flags

then:

mount -uw /

cd /Applications/"VMware Fusion"/contents/Resources/

./VMware-uninstall.tool (or whatever it is called I forgot, use the 'ls' command to see the file name..)

^^

  • 1 year later...

I doubt anyone will run into this trouble again, but just in case I'll add to Zizou's instructions and maybe save someone some time.

I had to have ".app" after VMware Fusion, and somewhere in either the contents or Resources, there is a VMware Fusion uninstaller.app (use ls command to find it).

Within it, find the VMware-uninstall.tool and run it with the sh command.

Thanks to Zizou.
