i have an integrated alc850 on my mother board, and ive tried about 5 different tutorials, and i can seem to find one that works for me.

most of the time becuase im probly doing it wrong in the terminal, and ive probly deleted some audio file that i need now :P (oops?)

welll....does anyone have a alc850 and gotten it to work? is there some download i can get where i can just drag and drop the files into my extensions folder and restart?

OOOOK!

i figured out terminal kinda.

when i use the cp -r command were should the file be? on desktop or the main driver /root part?

also when i type "kextload AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext" it says that the file was installed improperly or corrupt and all that , how am i supposed to? i used terminal to install it.....i think i did it right.

and im using AMD so i guess i want that to read AppleAC97AudioAMD.kext ?

yes/no? tell me what im doin wrong.

kextload AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext - when I do this kext load but sound not appear. I change in info.plist everywhere on my 0x545510b9 but this not helped too. Please Could someone write tutorial from fist step like deleting old files to last step. Big thanks and sorry for bad english.

Apparently a lot of people are having trouble with this particular onboard sound.

I too have found about 5 tutorials, none of them that work, none of the threads ending with "Thanks! That worked great!"

Can somebody please tell me the DEFINITIVE THREAD for getting the ALC850 to work?
