Is this still an issue with sse2?

You don't have SSE2, your laptop is an old Pentium 3 M which does not support either the SSE2 or SSE3 instructions sets, you need at leat Pentium 4, Pentium M or Celeron M or later to run OS X. There is NO way you can run OS X EXCEPT under emulation so I'm afraig you will have to give up.
