Bruce Wang
Was your ISO patched with JaS v1 ppf and Defiant ppf? The Defiant patch fixes the Disk Utility problem in 10.4.8 INTEL/AMD SSE3/SSE2 DVD. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=38125 Bruce Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/45837-please-please-help-me/#findComment-328063 Share on other sites
b416
Do not check Intel and AMD at the same time, choose the one that is right for you (you don't have the two processors together in your computer, do you?) thief7710
i managed to install the mac osx finally. This time this is what i did. I used a linux live cd to format the second partition into FAT32 logical. I installed mac osx into the second partition and i just checked the X11,Intel SSE2 SSE3,and some from the common hardware stuff. It booted in about 15 seconds ().geforce 7400go was not there (but i was prepared about this) and so it was sound card, wifi card, ethernet. But then i realised that i could boot in XP.... Can someone tell what i must do to have a dual boot system? Bruce Wang
Press F8 at power on, you shall see the Darwin Bootloader. Just select Windows to boot. Another way is to edit the boot.plist, just add below keys: <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> This will give you 5 seconds to press any key to show up the Darwin bootloader. Example: <dict> <key>Boot Graphics</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> </dict> Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/45837-please-please-help-me/#findComment-328177 Share on other sites

Bruce Wang
When you see "Starting Darwin", it's too late to press F8. Try just keep pressing F8 (not keep F8 pressed) since power on.
