xxsashixx
Ok Installed 10.4.8 got everything working.. now its about my sorta slow performance. Right now as I'm writing this I am running X-Chat. Transmission, & Adium. It seems to me like whenever I do something a little large. like even "installing" VLC took me a min.. and @ some random times i get the waiting cursor. Does this have to do with my HD? or my ram? Specs: AMD 3400 1GB Ram 20GB Maxtor IDE 200GB WD IDE. Thanks. macbrush
You will have to pay more attention to your box, such as whether HD light comes on during the moment of pause, if so which HD? Can you reproduce the problem? Did you check logs? Anything special going on in activity monitor? ... etc. Its simply impossible to even guess with so little infomation. In my box, the same thing happens while the HD is in sleep mode, and I can't seem to disable HD sleep. Don't know if it is the same in your case. xxsashixx
well.. the HD light comes on @ random times, maybe cuz Transmission is writing files or something. hmm kernel_task is running @ 1.30 and then sometimes goes way up to 100% then drops back down. *edit* my ram usage is always at its peak.. 400MB used up from inactive tasks..
