Has anybody had an luck or advice with installing Mac OS X 10.4.8 on a ECS P965T-A motherboard (P965 chipset)? If I attempt to install various distros of Mac OS X via boot-up, it gives the "'/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found" error and does not attempt to run the installer. From what I understand, it is because of the JMicron chipset and that it might require using an IDE-to-SATA converter for the DVD drive. However, if I attempt to install Mac OS X with VMWare to the spare SATA hard drive, and then try rebooting the computer after installation is complete, it gives a "Still Waiting for Root Device" error repeatedly.

Distros:

-----------

JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3

JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3.v1p.and.Deviant.patch

JaS.10.4.8.SSE3.Intel.Only

Hardware:

---------------

-CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400

-Motherboard: ECS P965T-A

-Hard Drive 1: 500 GB (SATA 3GB/s) -- Windows Vista

-Hard Drive 2: 320 GB (SATA 3 GB/s) -- Intended for Mac OS X

-RAM: 2 GB DDR2/800

-Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7800GT

-CD/DVD: DVD-RW

Alright, I hooked up a USB DVD-RW drive to the computer and booted from the DVD; however, I am receiving the following error when booting from the installation disc:

"'/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found"

=(

I installed Mac OS X to an IDE drive, but I receive the same error when booting from the IDE hard drive.
