The Chromebook Potential for iOS & OSX

without open sources from apple I think it's very hard to port ios software to another arm devices, because arm need specific software handle and very different with x86 sofware which can handle all x86 hardware

    UPDATED 20.12. GenericBrightness.kext

Good find Nobb1x , with your dsdt suggest, I could controll display dim natively (Fn+F12/Pause) @Ivik, why I still have got this message console "We still don't have brightness entry in ioreg... waiting" when display dim is working. Btw Many thanks Ivik and Nobb1x . here's my dsdt dsdt.aml.zip

    UPDATED 20.12. GenericBrightness.kext

Thanks. With applescript that you mentioned, finally I could make the screen to dim automatically, by using scriptsaver program, which runs the script automatically with the start time screensaver. a link for scriptsaver http://swannman.wordpress.com/projects/scriptsaver/

    UPDATED 20.12. GenericBrightness.kext

Many Thanks Ivik, Top Job. The second method works great with my nvidia card (G105M) and would be great too if the screen can automatically dim for save power battery as a real mac or a windows version here is my dsdt edit for reference dsdt.aml.zip

    Nvidia Geforce GT 320

What about add GraphicsEnabler=Yes at boot flag or in com.apple.boot.plist, Maybe that card wiil works
  10. Yes I know it, this thread helps my conroe proccessor got native speedstep . Thanks mate , but in my laptop proccessor /T9600 got native speedsted without edit dsdt. Perhaps just because apple use penryn too in macbook and macbookpro model. Hi 00Diabolic, I dont know about SP1 and SP4 thinks. But for monitor speedstep, I am using coolbook. Good Luck
  11. Hi 00diaboloic, you didnt need edit dsdt for get vanilla speedstep, because your processor (penryn) is support natively by apple. You just change smbios macmodel to macbook5,1 or macbook6,1.
