Why bother putting things in the trash if you don't want to erase them? ;)

EDIT:

I read that it is not possible (at all) to remove single files from the trash. There are, however, some apps that enhance the functionality of OSX's trashbin:

I googled around and there seem to be quite a few.

Well, Compost doesn't seem to do what i want (selectively delete files from Trash). However, Smart Trash can, but i only wish it was FREEWARE. I just googled to for "osx trash" and i found another program here: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/12669. It's called Trash X, although, again; i'm NOT sure it can do exactly what i want, but it can delete files and folder BEFORE sending them to trash, which is still useful. Too bad it isn't freeware, either. Anybody know of a freeware app that can remove selected files from Trash or do what Trash X does?
