jriecken
Hi, I have a new pc setup, 1.8GHz Intel Core Duo 2, GA-945P-S3 (motherboard), 1GB DDR2 RAM, 40 GB HD (ATA), 160 GB SATA II (SERIAL) HD, and an ATI Raedon/ Diamond X550 PCI-e card. I was able to install the JaS 10.4.7 AMD/INTEL version onto my 40 GB ATA HD. In the install I selected SSE 2, SSE 3, and the top entry for Intel. The install seemed to go well, and I was able to create an account and log in. The things that do not work are, sound (Realtek HD), Ethernet Adapter (Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC), and display (ATI Raedon/ Diamond X550 PCI-e card). By "do not work", I mean, the sound and ethernet do not even show up/aren't detected. My video card is stuck, 1024X768, with no other resolutions to chose from. I tried to list the details as best as possible. Before I scrap this project, can anyone possibly give me any tips of how to enable these devices? Maybe they have been answered already, but would appreciate any feedback. Thank you all. hecker
I had ethernet problems with JaS's release as well. I replaced the contents of my /System/Library/Extension/Plugins folder of my JaS installation with the ones from tubgirl's release. Check http://ftp.max-systeme.com Cheers, hecker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/45429-help-with-install/#findComment-325086 Share on other sites
