Purple Puppy
I have a Buffalo 40GB harddrive, and whenever I plug it in, finder crashes badly so that it freezes teh entire system up to the point where it becomes impossible to do anything, and it won't relaunch. Upon reboot, to my horror, the computer said that the boot disk was invalid. However, I took out the 40GB harddrive, and hey presto, it booted without problems. WHen I use disk utility, it freezes and I have to force quit. Is it really impossible to do anything with my harddrive now? there is a lot of important information on it, you know. THe file system is NTFS. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/45427-external-harddrive-causes-finder-to-crash-fatally/ Share on other sites
