Listen, everytime I start my PC with Intel MAC OS X Tiger 10.4.8, I get this message with an error: "The system extension "/System/Library/Extensions/ATINBRV.kext" was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact products vendor for an update." Can you help me? Can you tell me what to do? Thank you all!! Prawker Posted March 15, 2007 Share Posted March 15, 2007 (edited) try to repair permissions on the file, open terminal (Applications>Utilities>Terminal) and use these commands: sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/ATINBRV.kext sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/ATINBRV.kext diskutil repairpermissions / sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.mkext sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache Reboot and that should do it!
