i do have the following problem: on my mactel-developer-light

(celeron sse3, i915g) i did install from the tiger-x86.image and

did an 'upgrade' to 10.3 and found out that everything is working

fine, except for some ??rosetta?? programs. sitenote: 1. yes, i did

follow the guides. 2. yes, itunes does work. -- mainly it is adobe

photoshop CS but also e.g. unrar (even the intel build!). it hangs

up my whole computer (please restart..) this goes especially even

for the adobe CS-installer (!?).

and NO, installing the latest maxxuss 0.5c patch DID NOT HELP.

to understand the problem, please note that i had a fully working

osx86 some weeks ago until i deleted it (photoshop CS working

nearly 100%, no problems then).

i suppose it's a mixture of CoreGraphics/oah750d/kernel-problem.

because after i now re-installed the very old CoreGraphics/kernel,

back from the 'old days' (basically v0.2, following the instructions on

osx86.theplaceforitall.com) and after that i WAS ABLE install and use

photoshop, no problem-- but illustrator made my computer hang up.

also Preview does not open anything (comes, closes instantly).

now i d/l some other kernels/CoreGraphics and neither does work 100%.

unluckily i am sick of testing and rebooting every minute to different

version of the kernels, so my basic questions are:

1. is there any combination of the files libSystem.B.dylib, oah750d,

kernel_mach, CoreGraphics that is known to work 100%?

how actually does a not-wheel ownership hurt the system?

(e.g. if the kernel ist "root admin" instead of "root wheel")?

and yes, i did an disk-permission-verify, everthing is fine.

2. strange question, but since my back-again-to-the-old-kernel did not

work again: do i have to delete some kind cache after copying any

of the above files?

3. can anyone tell me what this is?
