erbic Posted March 12, 2007 Share Posted March 12, 2007 This has happened to me, too. Spotlight would be temperamental, sometimes finding stuff and sometimes not. Might be something to do with the USB HDD. I don't know if updating to 10.4.8 would remedy this problem, but it might be worth doing anyway. If you go to 10.4.8, you get Semthex's 8.8.1 kernel. The 10.4.7 releases still contain the 8.4.x kernel. I'm pretty sure JaS put out a 10.4.8 updater; search around for it. durro Posted March 12, 2007 Author Share Posted March 12, 2007 When i was using 10.4.8 i had to boot into safe mode otherwise i would get a Kernel panic. I am using this 10.4.7 version on a dell desktop on a internal hard drive and it works fine.
