Plucka
cpu_z.doc Hello all, Sorry for the following question, but I have burnt several versions of osx and cannot get past the darkend screen where it says to reboot your computer, this is before it even installs at all? I am running Vista ultimate on a hard drive of 80gb split into 2 partitions of 40gb, I also have a new seperate hard drive of 160gb split into 4 partitions of 40gb, the first 2 of which are primary and active. The 160gb hd is completely empty. I have read al sorts of forums and asked people I know with lots of experience in computing, but all to no avail. I guess I am asking for the most basic information, in the most simplest of terms how can I dual, or even multiboot my computer with osx? Any answesrs are welcome, a really simplistic step by step would be much appreciated. In advance many thanks for any answers I may receive. Plucka. I have checked my cpu see attachment please, and it is says instructions: mmx, sse and sse2 according to cpu-z System is: Processor pentium 4 2.4ghz VideoNvidia gforce 4200ti 256mb agp Motherboard msi ms-6547 Memory is 1gb ram, soon to be expanded with readyboost to 3gb Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44900-new-and-inexperienced/ Share on other sites
hecker
Sorry for the following question, but I have burnt several versions of osx and cannot get past the darkend screen where it says to reboot your computer, this is before it even installs at all? It tells you to reboot right after you boot off the DVD? Are you sure you have two active partitions on the 160GB disc? Recheck that, because normally you may have just ONE. Maybe you have two primary partitions. SATA, or ATA (IDE)?. Cheesr, hecker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44900-new-and-inexperienced/#findComment-321879 Share on other sites
