lilstu
Hey everyone. Just joined and was wondering if any of you could help me with a small problem i am having. I have a macbook pro and my brother installed windows vista on it also using bootcamp. he did all the drivers for me ect. which work fine and i am more then happy with but the only issue that i am having which is also puzzling him is i have a samsung 32" lcd tv which i use as a screen. when i connect it on the apple side, it instantly recognises it and turns on straight away whereas on the windows side, it detects it but for some reason the tv doesnt. is there anyone who has had similar problems with this? or even if there is keys you are emant to press to switch between them. i really dont know and have been trying for days. Thanks in advance Edited March 11, 2007 by lilstu Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44890-external-monitors/ Share on other sites

hecker
Don't think the memory is the issue here. In windows, you normally have to enable the second screen by accessing the display properties (right-click on any empty part of your desktop and choose "properties"). hecker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44890-external-monitors/#findComment-322665 Share on other sites
epsonguy
Speaking from experience, if you are using an external monitor, you will need to enable it in the display properties. For some crazy reason, the display driver provided by apple does not allow you to do this (if it does, can someone post how to do this). The solution that I found was to use the drivers from ATI or the Omega drivers. Once installed, right-click a blank section of your desktop and select Properties. Click the Settings tab, then click the Advanced button. Click the Displays tab and enable your external display device.
