viriiman
So I finally have my "MAC" up and running. I'm able to surf the internet. My problem is I can't connect to the shares I have setup on my server. The computer is running 2003 server, but without any "major" configurations. I'm able to connect to the server from two different windows boxes. When I try to connect with the MAC (by going to finder...network...browsing to the server...connect) I get the error "The alias "(Servername)" could not be opened, because the original item cannot be found." My choice options are "Delete Alias", "Fix Alias..." and "OK". If I try going to Go...Connect to server and put in smb://(ServerName) it will promt me for workgoup/domain name, User name, and Password. I put in the user name and password that I use to connect with on my windows box, but it errors out saying, "Could not connect to the server because the name or password is not correct". But I know that it is. I've tried two different accounts (with two different password) that I have on the server with no luck. I'm usure as to what I'm doing wrong, because as far as I can tell I'm doing everything right. Neither computer is running a firewall. Help!
