Hey everyone I recently bought an iBook G3 and am now looking to sell it. I love the thing however I bought it and put the money into it to see if I would like the mac hardwear/softwear and I absolutly do. But, I also wish to upgrade to a Mac mini so I decided it was time to part with this great laptop.

So here are the specs

iBook G3:

Processor: 600MHz Power PC G3

Memory: 640 SDRAM (I upgraded this from a 256 card to a 512 card) I am also including the old 256 MB SDRAM card

Harddrive: 30 gigs

CD-ROM

SOFTWEAR:

Photoshop 7

Microsoft Office 2004

along with standard OSX apps

APPLE WIRELESS CARD INCLUDED so you can surf the net wirelessly.

There are some scratches from wear and tear but nothing too bad. NO DEAD PIXLES

items i upgraded:

-power brick(universal power for AC/DC/Plane)

-Maxed out RAM and added Wifi card

-Added extra battery

-Replaced origonal battery

-Purchased additional screws

-operating System. OSX 10.4.8(OSX DVD not included, however it is installed on the system)

I am including 2 batteries. 1 battery is at 93% of its origonal charge however you can still get around 4 hrs out of it. The second battery has been charged 5 times and holds a complete charge 4-5 hrs depending on use.

I can't guarentee that they battieres will hold a charge however, I can tell you that i have used one battery for 2 months now and it lasts well over 4 hrs (i shut the lid/sleep mode a lot) and will last a long time. The second battery i fully discharged only once and it holds a very long charge ( bought new on ebay)

I am also including a set of screws that I purchased from ebay. They are just extras for the iBook G3 so I thought that i would include them.

I also am including the power brick. This is a brand new Kensington Universal 70W AC/DC/plane power adapter(cost me $130 from compusa)

Defects: NO DEAD PIXLES!!!!!! some minor scratches on outside of case and one of the rubber feet is missing (just fell off yesterday) therefore battery is slightly scratched DOES NOT EFFECT USE!

Origonal CD's are not included!(seeing as when i purchased it the iBook didn't come with any so I can't pass them onto you.

I am selling all of this for $450-$650

If you wish to see pics email me and i will send them to you(it is not letting me attatch them here)

If you have any questions you can either PM me or email me at jmscharff2@gmail.com

I ACCEPT ONLY PAYPAL TRANSFERS. ITEM WILL BE SHIPED TO THE ADDRESS YOU PROVIDE AFTER I RECIEVE THE MONEY.

Please contact me with any questions I will also be monitoring the thread to see if you have any questions here.

Just so you know, you will never get that much for that laptop. It simply isn't worth that much at all. It's only 600mhz and it's a G3. I just sold my 12 inch Powerbook 867mhz, superdrive, Airport Extreme/Bluetooth, 40gig, 640 DDR Ram for $500 and I was lucky I got that. Your laptop you have ther eis only worth about $250 realistically. You'd be lucky to get that honestly...

I just did some looking on ebay and it seems realistic since they go for roughly the same price i did lower it to 450 though. I just thought that it would be easier selling to a mac crowd then on ebay.

I will look at any offer so if you feel you have a good offer please either PM me or email me I will also trade however i probably won't get what i want. I am looking for a mac mini (no monitor or keyboard just the mini) if you are interested PM me or email me I have a lot of computer hardwear that I could throw in if you are interested.

Yes, but you are trying to sell an outdated machine for more than someone wants for an 800mhz machine with better hardware. Most people on here are mac nerds and know the value of the machine you are selling. I am just trying to let you down gently. You will not get your asking price or even within $100 of it on here.

However, I do like how you are open to offers, that is a good start. I wish you the best of luck with your sale.

(I do hope you get what you want out of it, but I just don't see it happening)
