Vipersfate
I just reread my post, and I noticed it was really sloppy, and very hard to understand. No more typing those things at 4 am. First off. 10.4.8 JaS install DVD with Titan ppf1. Installs great! Made a few coasters and had to burn a new copy. Wireless is working right as install finishes. Works great. Sustained 900kb/s downloading World Of Warcraft and websites. Awesome, go to work for the day, come home, decided to take my computer to my friends house to show him that I actually got OSx86 working. Reboot. No wireless. I figured that would happen. I can't quite remember the exact chipset, but I think it's broadcom. Something in the device ID I think is 0140 or similar. So i decided to search around for the nForce 4 LAN drivers that I saw floating around here since I have an Nforce 4 board. I tried them (forcedeth), and nothing happens. OSX doesn't see any of my network devices. So I go out and buy a 14USD NIC card. Linksys NC100 Chipset. After searching the forum, I read that tulip.kext might work. So I transfer the files via bluetooth from my friends real mac, and we get going to work on that. Kext loaded and all, nothing happens. No wireless, no network at all. Does anyone have any suggestions or fixes for this? I have QE/CI/GL working perfectly, Harddrive speeds are phenominal (90.8 in XBench overall). My main problem is just my network devices. I have to get this working, or I will die trying! lol!
