stephancelmare360
I would like to know if Jas 10.4.7 would run on this : 1.86 Intel Core 2 Duo 6300 Asus P5B-VM 1g Corsair - 5300 160 gig Hd Geforce Fx 5500 PCI Its not mentioned in the hardware list, so maybe some general knowledge would be good. Thanks in advance! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44451-hardware-list-not-complete-help/ Share on other sites

Thanks in advance! As you will want to update to 10.4.8 ASAP check the .8 HCL instead. AFAIK it should be ok, except the 965 chipset might give you problems, I think they all have solutions however Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44451-hardware-list-not-complete-help/#findComment-318266 Share on other sites
Zulu.Walker
I'm on a 965 without much problems, everything else was just a kext mod away. I'm not sure about your PCI graphics working, you might want to look around the forums for that. But everything else looks compatible. You might want to get 10.4.8 rather than 10.4.7, there's more support for 10.4.8 and it'll be probably your best bet for making OSX86 work on your hardware. tops
Use the JaS 10.4.8 Intel SSE2 SSE3 v1p/defiant fix ISO from demonoid if you are looking for a good disc for your hardware. It includes a diskutil fix that I found most necessary, and has a slick kernel. Just so you know, you will likely have to disable one core, as the Core processors often experience graphical stutters with both cores enabled. You can do that through the bios, or with cpus=1 boot option / kernel flag.
