First sorry my english :D

I have downloaded a torrent Jas 10.4.8 AMD INTEL SSE3 SSE2 with v1p and Defiant Disk Utility Patches Applied and have tried to install it several times. (I downloaded two other older version but no luck)

I tried with Vmware and booting from de DVD.

With Vmware the OS appear to install correctly, but at the end an error appears something like "An error was occurred in the installation please reinstall the system"

Iam sure I customize the instalation for mi Mobo, I repeat the process several times.

I tried install the OS with Acronis. I follows all steps in a video tutorial (How to Dual-Boot Windows XP & Mac OS X by: vertigo173) But with the same result.

Could be my mobo incompatible? This mother have Intel 945! Im sure it is supported.

It use Sata ICH7 but I try tu install in a Sata partition and in a normal IDE...

I have no idea where to look...

Mother Asus P5LD2-SE

Core2Duo 6300

1 Sata HD 160gb

1 IDE HD 80gb

Geforce NX7600GS

1gb Ram DDr2 667mhz

thanks

Hi,

got ya message and just popped by to see if i can help.

Well, it was a while since i installed it so I'm not quite sure if i encountered the exact same problem as yours but I did get an error booting after installation during my first few attempts.

Did you convert your osx partition into your primary partition?

From what I can recall,

I managed to successfully install OSX after installing acronis disk manager and boot loader.

after installing OSX, I converted the osx partition into my primary partition via acronis.

I THINK that was the remedy for me.

As I said..it's been a while and this is all I can recall for now.

hope it helps.

well... I havn't seen that error message before... but i had two sata drives and two external ATA drives connected when i installed OSX..

so i'm guessing that's not the problem...

Did you try figure out what the problem was from the installation log?..

post it up here if you can so everyone can have a look at it..
