Andurion
Hi All Have problem with instaling OSX on my partion. I have 3 partitions on my HDD , c: (is for winXP), d: (for osx), and e: (for VISTA). The Osx partition is primary (no extended or logical). Everything goes ok till i need to select partition and format it to "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" , I click "Erase" and after 10 seconds is finished but still showing fat32, like nothing hapends, and cant continue instalation because dont have a osx partition. when i check after that partition in windows, windows tell me that i need to format that partition because its empty. I found also from one my friend USB 40gb HDD and everything goes ok, but after im not able to boot from USB drive, so thats why i try this with separate partition on my hdd thinking it will be much easier Hope if someone can help me with this problem:) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44310-jas1048amdintelsse2sse3iso-cant-format-to-osx-filesystem/ Share on other sites
-TiLT-
You could try to manually set the partition type to "AF" with extended fdisk or a similar tool. "AF" is OS X journaled. Other method would be to use vmware and clone a virtual hd with osx installation to the partition with ghost. WaldMeister
Can't this be an error in the partition table? An idea would be to rebuild the partition table with Partition Table Doctor. The only problem is, is you have an AF partition, the partition and data on it wil be lost.
