I have the exact same problem with this as well and I do believe that it has something to do with the installation of Front Row being installed in the computer.

I installed the Front Row hack by Andrew Escobar (www.andrewescobar.com) and I tried uninstalling using the "Front Row Enabler" but it doesn't do anything. I even removed Front Row from /System/Library/Core Services/ and it still doesn't do anything to fix the Keyboard and Mouse Preference pane from working again.

Anyone found a fix yet?

Try opening the system preferences with this command

It will open it in service mode I think thats what they called it. In 10.4.3 you don't have the option to open it with rosette like in 10.4.1.

Open terminal and type this you will need to enter your password

sudo /usr/libexec/oah/oah750 /Applications/System\ Preferences.app/Contents/MacOS/System\ Preferences

That's a beauty! Thanks Technobob that worked perfectly. However, the first time I typed it in and entered in my password it gave me this error:

"Segmentation Fault"

However, when I typed it in again, which was EXACTLY the same as the first time I typed it in...it worked. And it didn't ask for my password again either.

Thanks again!
