It's impossible to use aperture if you have 500+ GB Images...Because it will 3x what you have and it is not including the size you currently have ....

ApertureIPHOTO3x.jpg

I've 380GB Images..and I'm glad that I've tried 20GB of mine before I fully imported my whole....

with 100 TB you won't have to worry about are they going to be 3x or 10x....

it makes 2x, 3x the size because this appz need those files to provide quick preview.

ACDSee's zoom function will calculate on demand instead of making a

actual pre-resized file like Aperture does.. Most Pros/Labs has 20TB+ files (Even my F828

makes 16MB RAW by just shooting a white wall) and if they

rely on mac os x, they would think about using Aperture...Guess what happen to them....

Not everybody know using a appz would have to leave it for nights just to generate thumbs

and previews/prezoom....

I have several gigs (25) in pics and Aperture is the best thing ive used. Its fairly quick even with my system specs.

Can you post a screen with the Aperture's LIB & Your Original? If you use iPhoto also please make a screen shot of it.

The speed of Aperture is great on mine, but I'm only talking about the way it' treats your files. If you are a plain user

who don't care about spaces and just use the appz without depth. It's a usable,

But you might get ready to move your pics to bigger drive and get a dedicated drive just for Aperture's LIB....

change preview settings to save space

Well, it seems weird to set it to 1280x1280 while my screen is 1920x1200...+

(I think most Pros would have a 1600x1200+Screen)

Also changing those thumbnails will takes hours to process...(let's say you've 1TB)
