glitch44
Okay... I'm new to OS X. Dragging a url location from a browser to the desktop obviously creates a .webloc link. But is there a way to force the .webloc to be named after the Page Name rather than the URL location? So, for example: "Automatically re-mount a volume in OS X? - Mac Forums" rather than "forums.macrumors.com/" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43649-dragging-url-to-desktop-question/ Share on other sites
hecker
I just tried it with Camino and it creats the link with the Page Title/Name and not it's url. What browser are you using? hecker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43649-dragging-url-to-desktop-question/#findComment-311900 Share on other sites

UnreaLHippiE
Could you point me towards the article on "Automatically re-mount a volume in OS X? - Mac Forums", just interested to see if its done using the same way I was recommended by a friend.. hecker
Could be. Maybe you can modify that setting in firefox somehow. There are a lot of configuration options for firefox that are not accessible through the config panel. Ampidire
If you drag the favicon next to the URL from the Safari address bar and drop it to the desktop it sets it up the way you want.
