maxidev
Hi there, is any way to connect to internet using modem in OSx86? I have 'Intel-536EP' internal modem. Thank you for your help Max Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43645-connect-to-internet-via-modem-in-osx86/ Share on other sites
hecker
If it is supported (check wiki.osx86project.org) then it may work. Got to your system preferences -> network and see if the modem is in the list. If yes, then all you need to do is press "configure" and OSX will prompt you for the access codes. hecker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43645-connect-to-internet-via-modem-in-osx86/#findComment-311905 Share on other sites
maxidev
It ('Intel-536EP') is not listed in OSx86's modem list. Is any driver for this modem or any hack to make it work able in OSx86? tuxuser33
Look here: can not and will not go f*** WinModem (HostAcc.Modem) http://developer.intel.com/design/modems/products/536ep.htm Buy an external modem with "intelligence". External 56k modem attached to serial port does the job. See the modem.list for supported modems too. Some USB-modems possibly will go. FYI. not listed external Elsa 56k & external US.Robotics 56k sportster voice o.k. (Unfortunaly no Fax-function.)
