Hi all...

I beg to you for some help becouse i dunno how to solve this problem.

I dlded the JaS OSX Release for SSE2 & SSE3 for AMD and intel...

i burned it and tried to boot from the DVD...

What a luck i said when i noticed that i could perform a native installation.. the installer started up and allowed me to complete the installation without any problem..

But after the reboot the bad surprise...

if i boot it up normally i get a nice Kernel panic related to something about CPU ids and such.

If i boot it with the -x option it boots up... but it boots up without any driver.. and i don't have network support, sound support or anything...

I also tried to use the patcher in verbose/single user mode from the console and apply the patch contained in the file amd_1048_new.txt... but no luck..

can any1 help me out please?

thnx very much in advice.

EDIT:

oh man.. i forgot to post my hardware details:

ASUS a8n-sli deluxe with Nforce4 chipset

A64 3000+

1 GB Ram

nvidia 6600GT

2 x SATA disks (connected to the nvidia controller)

2 x PATA disks.

Hmm. Most people recommend using as little options as possible during install. It seems that the options "out-of-the-box" sometimes break stuff instead of fixing them. Of course you may want to try other things before re-installing.

Sorry I can't be of any more help

hecker

Re :D

sorry for the new reply...

i make this to add further informations for my problem.. maybe some1 can help me out with them.

since i dunno how to log the kernel panic traces.. i used the old fascion way :D

i made a pic of the monitor.. pretty readable.. so that you can see what kinda error it gives when i try to boot it normally. (no -x flag at boot)

EDIT: sorry.. wrong pic...

Fixed now :)
