Hey

I have used a lot of time on solving a problem with the sound quality in Vista running on a Macbook Pro 15" 2,16 GHz Core2. I have managed to get the soundcard to work with the Sigmatel driver from the BootCamp Mac drivers 1.1.2 cd. At first it would not work, but after installing the driver in a "safemode start up" I succeeded! But now here is the problem: when I play music (or other sounds) in iTunes etc, the sound quality is bad because of lagging and no clear sound. Does anyone have the same problem? Anyone who can help me? I must say the sound is much better general in Mac OS

Thanks

(and sorry for my English, I'm Danish)

You need to look harder...

It's not the sound driver per se, rather it's the wireless driver. In Vista, the driver for the Atheros wireless card conflicts somehow with the driver for the sound, causing the skipping you've described. AirmanPika found a new Atheros AR5008 driver which eliminates this skipping.

You can't use the installer EXE in that package to install; rather you must point the Device Manager to the folder where you unzipped the files.

Your computer may freeze up, but the driver will install. It froze for me and I had to restart, but the driver somehow installed.
