I've managed to get OS X86 booting and running pretty well on a P4 2.8ghz machine at work.

According to CPUZ and 'More Info' under the about this macintosh section in os x, the cpu supports SSE3.

But.. rosetta wont work, and iTunes bounces once and then quits!

I've done the 100% cpu usage 'mod' but it still refuses to load!

Anyone have any idea whats going on?

The machine is a Pentium 4 Prescott 2.8ghz with 512mb DDR ram.

ok , first to run Rosetta Apps, you need to download the CoreGraphics Patch and Patch the Kext files as it says on the instruction.

look for CoreGraphics patch.

for 100% usage go to /System/Library/Extensions/ and delete the file AppleTMP...kext (can't remember the exact file name). then restart and it should work fine.

This is usin the dd method btw.

I've found out that i actually need to unpatch it to use SSE3. I've already deleted AppleTMPblah from the system/extentions/xx dir.
