I can't do that in Mac, and i just don't want to stuck in the game's chat room waiting for a friend. any way? i tried ALT + Tab, nothing happend. also, can i run game in windows mode, so i still can see the desktop? I play Warcraft III a lot, and you can go into windowed mode and subsequently hide the app by pressing Command-M for windowed mode and then Command-H to hide. I would suspect a lot of full-screen Mac games are similar.
