ive been searching through this forum for an answer, and i have found many! so far i can say ive tried most of them. (so i did use the search feature already). but i think i need extended help, coz i cant seem to get this working at all.

i have osx86 running on my desktop along side vista perfectly, and for quite some time. ive had a hackintosh since the early developer days. but anyhow, it just wont work on my new laptop!.

first i used the latest final jas 10.4.8 dvd without any patches. and then again with v1p patched dvd. and then again the dvd patched with defiant disk utility. and finally with the ICH7R/ICH8R patched dvd. so now i have the 10.4.8 dvd patched with v1p, defiant disk utility and ich7r/ich8r patch.

heres my problem(s):

1. When i enable "SATA Native mode" in the bios, os x install dvd does not detect a hard disk to install on. Even with the ICH7R/ICH8R patch why does this happen?

so i disabled native mode and managed to install it on a partition.

2. Once when i reboot, i cant boot in to OS X at all. ALL THE TIME it gives "HFS+ Partition Error", i tried repairing with the disk utility and resulted nothing. - how can i get this fixed?

i personally think this has something to do with AHCI and the ICH7M, but i dont know how to get this fixed, so please help... thanks in advance :(

my config:

i have 3 partitions: 1 - Vista, Primary, NTFS, Active (atm) , 2 - Storage, Primary, NTFS, 3 - OS X, Primary, HFS+ (id=af)

from CPUZ:

Intel® Core™2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00GHz (MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, EM64T)

1GB DDR2-667

Northbridge : Intel i945GM rev. 03

Southbridge : Intel 82801GHM (ICH7-M DH) rev. 02
