Hi

I managed to install OS X without many flaws on my dell GX260. If I try to install it on my main computer, the one I want it on, I get a boot error thing when trying to get into the install disc. I have 2 S-ATA drives in my computer. The error I was getting was "still waiting for root device" and the solution was to plug my IDE DVD drive and my S-ata drive on the same cable which is impossible so, could I buy a 160GB IDE hard drive plug it into my GX260 and install OS X 10.4.6 on it then plug it into my PC and it would boot?

Also instead of a IDE hard drive would an external USB drive be better so I can take it places. I will be using MAC to edit video music and special effects?

Thanks

I'm not so sure that OSX can really be made portable, but as far as the IDE drive goes it should do ok.

Are you sure you want to install 10.4.6 and not a newer version?

If you want to use your MAC for video/audio work then you should try getting a fast drive with lots of memory cache. You will notice the difference!

Hi

Ok, so I am to get an internal IDE hard drive as that is what the GX260 supports. What about

Would this be good for waht I am doing?

Also I would install the latest version(10.4.8?) but every torrent I use doesn't start and I can't find a non torrent version anywhere.
