DeviantOne
Howdy, after installing 10.4.8 it went fine with a few glitches. Here's a run down. I used JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3.v1p.and.Deviant.patch.iso release, it would not detect my IDE so used my onboard Sata ports and installed it on one of my SATA hdd's. Anyhow I formatted it fully using MAC OS Journal and the MAC OS Format tried twice. This went fine. Onto the next page it verified the DVD at 99% it failed but asked if I wanted to continue I clicked on yes and it installed with no glitches, nothing. I had these Options (off the top of my head) selected. MAC Intel Support for most Common Hardware Support for Nvidia, ATi Cards Ok so it installed fine. When I reboot it goes to the White / Grey Apple Loading Screen then goes onto the Blue Screen. Then nothing...nothing at all just sits there and does nothing, I thought at first heck I'll give it a few minutes so had a shower yadedada, but nothing. Solution for this? Driving me crazy. Also sometimes it does not get to the Blue Screen sometimes it goes to a blank screen after the White / Grey Apple Loading Screen. Bruce Wang
More hardware information is needed, especially your MB and Video card. However, I guess your problem was caused by video driver.
